    We wouldn’t recommend it as an alternative to cardio because there are a lot of intermittent movements (you push then roll, etc.) which restricts the effectiveness of cardiovascular exercise. You want to perform exercises that provide minimal resistance, minimal intensity, through the use of consistent and repetitive movement which allow you to maintain your heart rate within a steady range.
