    If you are doing a cardio workout only chances are you are fine. For cardio a piece of fruit should be enough to hold you. For lifting and weight training you should make sure that you have a substantial amount of a good carbohydrate like a yam and a banana or mango for extra electrolytes and simple sugar. Both of these meals should contain the normal portion of animal protein.
