    The reason for this question is to see if you tend to overeat at mealtime. If so, you may feel hungry when you switch to smaller portions even though you will be eating more frequently. If this happens, add an ounce of protein to each meal. Protein satiates your appetite. You may also want to slow down your eating. I had a client who learned to eat healthy portions just by chewing their food for 30 seconds per bite! By slowing down your consumption of food during a meal, it lets the “I’m full” signal from your stomach get to your brain before you over eat.
